For example, a catheter inserted into the artery simulator allows the student to repeatedly practice the catheter insertion operation; the eye surgery simulator creates a three-dimensional image based on the anterior eye structure of the human eye with real-time tactile feedback and students use it The whole process of removing the lens can be observed by simulation, and the transparency of the blood vessels, iris and sclera tissues and the cornea of the anterior eye structure can be observed. There are also anesthesia virtual reality systems, oral surgery simulators, etc.

Before the actual operation, the surgeon can simulate the operation repeatedly on the monitor by the help of virtual reality technology, move the organs inside the body, find the best surgical plan and improve the proficiency. The virtual reality technology can play a very important role in long-distance remote control surgery, planning of complex surgery, information guidance of the surgical process, prediction of surgical consequences, improvement of living conditions of the disabled, and even development of new drugs.
